We had a very interesting discussion with our very own Mrs. Smith today. Year 4 prepared their own questions and asked Mrs. Smith all about why Jesus is known by Christians as being the light of the world.
Today we practiced our weaving skills! Well done year 4!

Our very lucky Y4 class watched some of The Grinch this morning with a delicious hot chocolate
Our instructions topic had us discussing HOW the Grinch stole Christmas and WHY he even wanted to! We are now ready to write our very own instructions and are also feeling super festive!
It would have been a shame to not get outside with our friends and make the most of this early winter snow!
As part of their Sound topic in Science, Year 4 have been looking at how sound changes over distance. We considered the different variables that might impact on our results, how we can control and measure these accurately as well as whether or not we had a fair test.
Y4 had an amazing day visiting Jarrow Hall with our St. Oz pen pals! We learned all about the Anglo-Saxon way of life, from the Anglo-Saxon farm to creating our very own Anglo-Saxon battle!
Year 4 spent the afternoon designing and making their own packaging for our fruity popcorn snack. Some children even said they MIGHT share their snacks when they got home with parents/carers/siblings!

A big thank you to everyone that joined us for our Y4 cool afternoon! We had so much fun completing our Children In Need work!
oday our fabulous Y4 children were personally invited to a service of thanksgiving for the Venerable Bede at St Paul’s Church. We listened to stories about Venerable Bede and our very own even got up to speak with the Bishop of Durham!
