Tyler has given two hours of his time this weekend to volunteer for Marie Curie and collected for their Daffodil appeal. What a superstar 🤩!!

This afternoon year five spent the afternoon focusiing on mastering the call and response South African folk sone of ‘Shosholoza’ with Mrs Smith, Mr Usher and Mr Gray.  Once we had perfected the tricky intonation of the lyrics and focussed on our tempo and dynamics we then moved on to adding chords on our glockenspiels in pairs.  It was tricky but we rose to the challenge.

We used our geometry knowledge to form shapes together.

Year Five delivered an out of this world assembly to the whole school and Year Five parents and carers.  This showcased all of the learning that the children have undertaken linked to space in science.

Year 5 have been looking at the life cycles of different animals including birds, mammals, amphibians and insects. We then compared the similarities and differences between the different animals and their life cycles.

Year 5 have loved having our street coach in for PE this week. We have started to learn choreography for a new routine and hope to build on this over the next few weeks.

Year 5 have been mastering their skills in continuous line drawing this week. We have tried to draw sunflowers using the one line technique to add detail, shading and texture. What do you think of our pieces of art?
