Y3 – Lockdown – A message from Miss Lenney – 13.5.2020

13th May 2020Helen Smith

Seeing the good even in the hardest of times.

Today has been a special day. Sometimes it takes you by surprise that good things can happen at any time. We have all had to cope with the new normal and not being able to see our loved ones, however, we have also been able to use technology to help us stay in touch. Well that happened for me today.

Lots of people laugh at me [in a kind way] because I talk about Canada, and the time I lived there, a lot. Well today I got to talk to Canada because I got a surprise call from friends I made over there. We do chat by email, but haven’t seen each other for 15 years, well that was before today when they noticed I was online and called me.

Such a small thing to do they thought, but it meant such a lot to me and made me smile, laugh and even shed a little tear. Kindness and friendship is so powerful. So keep being kind, even the smallest thing you do can make a world of difference to the person who receives it. I know my friend’s act of kindness meant the world to me today.

Be kind to each other.

Advenntures with Bear

4th April 2020A Lenney

Hello Everyone

Well we are at the end of our second week working from home. I have been so impressed with the work that the children in Year 3 have done this week. We have been retelling the story of Odysseus and the Trojan Horse and identifying fractions, counting in tenths and adding fractions in maths. A very busy week!

I have been enjoying the messages from both children and parents and have had a bit of help with my work! Bear does sometimes think I should be giving her a tickle rather than working, but we are enjoying spending time together.

Stay well and safe everyone

Keeping up with Bear

26th March 2020A Lenney

Hello Everyone

Well we are nearly at the end of the first week of our new way of life. I have been able to get out and about walking Bear. She is very good, but loves to chase birds and bits of black plastic, this is a bit strange and she tries to trick me by looking the other way and then running very quickly!

I

Now we are back from our walk and she is fast asleep.
