In PE Year 6 have been looking at our fundamental movement skills with a focus on responding imaginatively to different situations.
This week our focus has been on the fundamental skill of static balance and playing game of bench volley ball.
In Year 6 we have been learning about ‘Fake News’ understanding the difference between fact and opinion. We considered how we can be responsible consumers of information to help stop the spread of fake news.
In our Science work, year 6 have been exploring electrical circuit components. Making observations and testing theories. We saw some fantastic examples of problem solving and trouble shooting to fix faults.
Linked to our assembly theme this week ‘Which books inspire us?’ Year 6 had breakfast with a book, sharing stories and discussing our favourites.
Y6 researched artists who are passionate about showcasing environmental issues in their artwork.
Y6 loved their afternoon at the panto – Oh no they didn’t!
Year Six had a great day learning all about France. We tasted their cuisine and also further developed our understadning of the French language.
