Year One have been applying their number knowledge to 10 to solve addition problems to 20.

Year One have been putting their programming skills to the test using floor robots and on screen Beebots. The trickiest bit was remembering to clear the memory!
Year One explored the principles of Buddhism focussing on being kind, honest and helpful during World Religions Day. We decorated kindness pebbles to give to our friends and family, made peace flowers and shared the story of ‘The Monkey King’ , a Buddhist story.

On Friday, Year One had a great day getting fully on board our Polar Express day, complete with hot chocolate and reindeer poop cakes.
Year One loved putting their creative skills to work, designing, making and improving their Christmas crafts ready to sell at the Christmas Fayre.

In Year 1, we have been creating digital images in the style of an artist as part of our computing topic.

Year One had a fun afternoon on Friday putting all their multi skills to task at Temple Park.

Year 5 thoroughly enjoyed their ‘Breakfast with a Book’ yesterday morning with Year 1. We enjoyed toast and juice whilst sharing lots of books with our younger friends. Thank you Year 1 for a lovely reading for pleasure morning. Check out some of our photos!
In phonics sessions Year One love to make up our own sentences using the spelling patterns we have been practising.
