Y4 – Oracy – No Pens Day – 25.11.2025

28th November 2025Helen Smith

Year 4 had a fantastic No Pens Day on Tuesday! In Maths, the children explored multiplying and dividing by 10 and 100. They used place value mats to show how digits move, helping them explain their methods.

In English, the children used their oracy skills to give each other step by step instructions on how to make the perfect sandwich . They listened carefully, spoke clearly and had lots of fun!

During History, the children became reporters for the afternoon. They created their own news reports to tell the story of a Viking raid on Lindisfarne. They spent time developing and rehearsing their lines, focusing on projection and engaging their audience. Well done Year Four!
