In PSHE, year four discussed the benefits of teamwork. They then worked in teams solving clues to discover who had stolen their headteacher’s laptop.

Y4 – PSHCE – KS pays a visit – 24.3.2026

Year 4 had their first visit from K.S. On Tuesday. They learned all about keeping themselves safe and how to deal with bullying, as well as playing games and having ‘very loud” fun.

Y4 – Science – Northumbria Water Workshops- 24.3.2026

Year 4 enjoyed a great morning with Northumbrian Water, learning about the water cycle and how to save water.They acted out the water cycle, created freeze frames to show water waste, and performed their own adverts encouraging others to save water.💧

Y4 – English – World Book Day – 5.3.2026

Year 4 had a fantastic time celebrating World Book Day! 📚We started the day with Breakfast with a Book, sharing stories together, then joined exciting activities with Mrs Richardson. The fun continued with live quizzes and some creative time designing our very own book covers.

Y4 – Art/Computing – COOL afternoon – 13.2.2026

Year 4 began COOL afternoon with an online safety quiz to test our parents knowledge. After that, we showed off our Vista Art Gallery and challenged our parents to create their own landscape art, helping them with our knowledge!

Y4 – Geography – Mountain Formation- 9.2.2026

Year 4 worked in groups to identify and describe the formation of different mountain types. After that, the children looked in detail at a Scafell Pike (a volcanic mountain) and used research to create a case study.

In Year 4 , we celebrated World Composer Day by creating our own winter musical sequences using sound symbols. Also, we researched and discovered interesting facts about Ludwig Van Beethoven.🎼🎵
