On Friday, our friends from St Oswalds joined Reception for a morning of physical development. We had so much fun getting involved and trying out all of the activities. Well done everyone!

Can you eat a rainbow?

On Monday, Reception created some transitional art. We created pictures of Mary’s garden from the nursery rhyme ‘Mary, Mary Quite Contrary’ linked to our topic ‘Stories and Rhymes’. We used different materials and our imagination to create our own flowers and shells.

As part of Reception’s ‘Long ago’ topic we have been talking about dinosaurs. We took advantage of the cold weather and returned some dinosaurs to the ice age!
We had lots of fun rescuing our dinosaurs.
Year 6 and Reception had a lovely afternoon reading books together.
As part of our topic ‘Move It’, reception visited Jarrow School to take part in some sporting activities lead by their Year 9 Sports Leaders.

Year 6 and their reception buddies had a lovely trip to the library where we enjoyed reading books together. After that, we had a little picnic in the park, what a lovely day!
