In DT, Year 2 have started their new topic ‘Cut, Stitch and Join’ by investigating different household fabrics.
Yesterday, Year 2 visted to Souter Lighthouse as part of their topic ‘Coastline’. We all had an amazing day learning lots of different facts about the lighthouse, including a tour of the grounds and some of the class even climbed to the top of the lighthouse!

In English, in Year 2, we have been looking at haiku poems. In today lessons, we have been looking at seasonal images and creating a descriptive word bank, which we can use for our own haiku poems.
In Year 2, we have been recapping the events of the Easter Story in RE. We decided to embrace the glorious sunshine and take our lesson outside to find the different events and write them in the correct order.

As part of Year 2’s science topic ‘Plant Survival’, we have been exploring the different shapes, sizes and textures of the leaves in our forest garden.
