Each child decorated a decoration for the tree with a message for those we care for, or who are no longer with us or for those in need at this time of year.

Our first set of students to be chosen for ‘The Golden Table’ at lunchtime as recognition for being polite, well-mannered and respectful.
The children and staff of Bede Burn Primary School joined people across our country today as we took part in the 2 minute silence at 11 o’clock. Children, teachers, teaching partners, admin staff and kitchen staff observed the commemoration to remember those who had made the ultimate sacrifice.
During the weeks before Remembrance Day, our children have been able to share stories from their own families, and we have created our own Remembrance display with poppies in the windows of our school. Each child in school was able to contribute to this with some writing messages for family members.
Today children and staff have come to school wearing odd socks to mark the start of Anti -Bullying week. We are promoting the message that it is good to be different and celebrating our individuality.

Key Stage Two took a trip to the Theatre Royal to listen to some wonderful stories from Daniel Morden as part of The Children’s Bookshow. Daniel Morden has travelled all over the world as a professional storyteller, bringing to life the stories and tales that have helped us make sense of our world through the ages. His new collection of traditional stories, Secret Tales from Wales, are tales of enchantment, mystery and danger, where ordinary people triumph through their own bravery and native wit. We had a fantastic time and left feeling inspired by Daniel’s tales
