Today we had to say three sad goodbyes. Firstly Kassidy and Tamarin are moving out of the area and we wish them and their family all the best in their new home and schools. We will really miss you both.
Then we had to say happy retirement to Ann Henderson. Ann has worked at Bede Burn for seventeen years and has been a fantastic lunchtime supervisor, catering to the needs of hundreds of children over the years. We presented Ann with a scrap book made up of children’s memories of her, with both present pupils and those that have long since left Bede Burn contributing.
We all sincerely wish Ann all the happiness in the world in her retirement.
What a fantastic day the Bedeburn staff and children gave me. Thank you for all the special cards and gifts, especially the memory book. It was all very unexpected and overwhelming. I have had a wonderful time at Bedeburn over the years. Thank you for lots of lovely memories. I couldn’t believe ex pupils got in touch as well. Will miss you all always.

I would just like to say on Tamarin and Kassidy’s behalf a big thankyou for being such a wonderful school. Tamarin was inconsolable on the last day of term but I’m sure both of them will love their new school. They have managed to find some class friends on ” instagram ” so that has softened the big change. Tamarin already misses Mrs Falkner and has asked if she can write to her and all the class to let them know all her new adventures. Although Kassidy doesn’t take much about it I know he is sad to leave his friends behind. All the best for 2016 xx
