Year 1 have been working hard in maths this week using the resources to help us ‘find the difference’ between numbers.

Y1: History and English: Beamish Trip

Year 1 went to Beamish as part of their topic, Childhood. They visited the pit village where they spent some time in the classroom finding out about childhood in the 1950s. Later they played with some toys from the 1950s and had fun exploring the old town. At the end of the day they took a ride on a tram and of course paid a visit to the gift shop!

We have been looking at work by the artist James Rizzi. He makes some of his pictures 3D using the layering technique. We tried this with our pictures by layering cardboard under some of the pieces of our pictures to make them 3D.
