Reception are so pleased to be back! Look at what a fantastic start they have made to 2024.
Year 6 and Reception had a lovely afternoon with their buddies. They worked together to make ‘Marvellous Machines’ linked to Reception’s current topic work in class.
As part of our topic ‘Marvellous Machines’ we have been looking at emergency vehicles. Reception were so lucky to have the Police come to visit us and talk about the different emergency services.
As part of Reception’s topic ‘Marvellous Machines’ we have been using different resources to create machines. We then used a machine (iPad) to create Jackson Pollock inspired pictures.
Reception have been using lots of problem solving skills to make a circuit to understand how a torch works.
A gorgeous photo of some Child Initiated Learning in Reception class this morning, the children were keen to practise their songs for the Christingle service coming up!
Reception showed their control and directional language skills programming our Bee-Bot floor robots.
Reception have had a great time in PE today. They have been balancing and travelling in different ways across our equipment! Watch us go!
What better way to spend time than reading to our buddies in Reception? Year 6 had a lovely time developing their fluency and expression as they read stories with their friends.
