As part of their art topic ‘Animal’, Year Four have been learning a new skill in lino printing. Using carving tools, they carved a picture of a peacock feather into pieces of Lino. This is a very tricky process as pressing too hard will make deep gouges in the Lino, therefore holding the tools at a smaller angle makes it possible to create thin, intricate lines.
Once this was complete, the tiles were then painted to resemble peacock feathers, before being printed, using rollers,  onto paper. We hope you like our results!
