Children are encouraged to bring a water bottle into school and are welcome to bring a fruit snack for afternoon playtime.

Imaginative Learning Project
Summer 2 ~ Will you read me a story?
As we launch into our last half term together in Reception we will be stepping into The Fairytale Forest to share stories together with some special guest story teller mums and dads. We will also be writing our own stories following the fairy tale formula using our amazing writing and phonics skills, we are so proud of our children’s progress this year.
In Maths we will continue to explore big numbers and be applying our skills in problem solving activities not just with numbers. We hope you enjoyed our recent ‘Inspirational Maths’ morning.
Our story focus leads us nicely to finding out about castles with lots of role play and fact finding. We are planning a visit to Newcastle Keep to ‘experience’ life in a castle and find out just how amazing (not) it was.
In Forest School we will continue to find out about the mini beasts that live there but we may have to lend a hand to the fairy godmother if one of her fairies goes missing.
We hope you will be able to join us for our Family Picnic in the Park in the last week of term, weather permitting.
